I am the Principal Psychologist at my private practice- Neurotech Neuropsychological Services.

My practice was established in 1995 as a consultancy that specialises in the diagnosis and management of service/individual requirements for cognitive/psychological assessment, and diagnosis and therapeutic management of disorders associated with head injuries, psychosis, personality disorders, anger management and substance abuse. Following completion of my Psychology Honours at James Cook University of Nth Queensland, I completed my Masters in Neuropsychology at the University of Melbourne in 1993, and then my Ph.D in 1999 through the Mental Health Research Institute of Victoria, in affiliation with both the Departments of Psychology and of Psychiatry at the University of Melbourne. My professional expertise focuses on tracking and understanding the development of psychosis from a neuropsychological perspective, from which I have a wide range of national and international peer-reviewed publications. This work has also won various awards.

Currently I am an Associate Professor in the University of Melbourne Department of Psychiatry, located at ORYGEN Youth Health- Parkville, where I practice as a Senior Neuropsychologist in the Neuropsychology Clinic. I am also the specialist consultant on the Intensive Case Management Team – specialising in the treatment of young people with personality disorders involving dysregulation of anger and aggression for the Early Psychosis Prevention & Intervention Program. Finally, I head the Neuropsychology Research Program for ORYGEN Research Centre.

I have been called to give expert evidence in the Victorian Children’s Court, Magistrate’s Court, Family Court, County Court, the Brisbane Supreme Court, the Victoria Civil Administrative Tribunal and the Mental Health Review Board of Victoria
